We understand, it’s not always simple

Gloucester was one of Ottawa’s largest communities before amalgamation, and its trees show it: decades of growth on established postwar lots in neighbourhoods like Blackburn Hamlet, with weak unions, deadwood, and root systems that rarely get inspected until something fails. Left unchecked, that’s how a healthy-looking tree becomes a real hazard.

At SpinBlade, we approach tree services in Gloucester with a real on-site assessment first. A Certified Utility Arborist reads the tree, its structure, its lean, what’s actually holding it up, before we quote anything or pick up a saw. That’s what separates proper tree care from a guess.

What Makes Us Different In Gloucester

  • Certified Utility Arborist (CUA) and ISA-certified crew, not general labour
  • Every quote is written and based on an actual site visit, never a phone guess
  • Licensed and insured, with Working at Heights, Chainsaw Certification, First Aid/SP100, WHMIS, and a Commercial Pesticide License
  • 24/7 emergency response for storm damage and hazardous trees
  • We read the tree’s structure before recommending removal, pruning, or cabling — not the other way around
  • Ask around for a Gloucester tree service and you’ll hear the same thing: we show up, we assess, we do the job right

How We Deliver Tree Services In Gloucester

Gloucester’s older neighbourhoods carry decades of tree growth that most homeowners have never had assessed, so we don’t start with a number — we start by actually looking. Here’s what happens after the call comes in.

  1. Contact & Schedule: Call or send the form, and we book a visit, prioritizing anything urgent.
  2. On-Site Assessment: A Certified Utility Arborist inspects the tree’s structure, lean, and condition on-site.
  3. Clear Quote: A written, itemized price based on what the crew actually saw.
  4. Preparation: We plan access and drop zones around your specific property before the crew arrives.
  5. The Work: Certified arborists carry out the job with the right equipment and technique for the tree.
  6. Cleanup: All debris hauled off, wood chipped or removed based on your preference.
  7. Walkthrough: A final look together so you see exactly what changed.

Our Approach

Safety & Happy Yards

Every job starts with a real assessment, because a mature tree near a house or power line leaves no room for guessing.

Certified Arborist Team

Our crew holds CUA, ISA, Working at Heights, Chainsaw Certification, and WHMIS credentials.

Community-Paced Work

We don’t rush a job to fit a generic schedule. The tree and the property set the pace.

Who is Spinblade?

SpinBlade was founded in 2017 by Cole Horton, a Certified Utility Arborist who built the company on one principle: read the tree before recommending anything. That standard is still what every SpinBlade crew works to today, and it’s why homeowners looking for tree care services in Gloucester keep calling us back for the next job.

What You Get When We’re Done

A tree job done right pays you back in ways that go beyond a tidy yard. Here’s what that actually looks like.

  • Your property stays protected: insured, controlled drops mean no crushed fence, roof, or garden from a job gone wrong
  • A bigger bill avoided down the road: a pruning job now costs a fraction of the emergency removal a neglected tree eventually forces
  • Real liability coverage: if anything goes wrong during the work, you’re not the one holding the cost
  • A tree that actually survives the cut: proper technique means it keeps growing strong instead of needing full removal in a few years
  • Documentation you can use: a record of the work for insurance, resale, or your own records
  • One less risk before the next storm: the hazard that could’ve taken out a power line or a roof is already handled
